Mother Hubbard's Dog
(Laura Freeman)
Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard
To get her poor dog a bone
When she got there the cupboard was bare
And so her poor dog had none
Poor dog had none
Poor dog had none
When she got there the cupboard was bare
And so her poor dog had none
Well Old Mother Hubbard got to thinking and then remembered she’d hidden a bone in the pantry for just such emergencies so
Old Mother Hubbard went to the pantry
To get her poor dog a bone
When she got there she pulled out the spare
And so her poor dog had one
Poor dog had one
Poor dog had one
When she got there she pulled out the spare
And so her poor dog had one
Well old Mother Hubbard figgered she better go shopping so she wouldn’t have that little problem SO
The very next day Mother Hubbard stepped out
And to the market she went
Bones were on sale so what do you know?
Every penny she had she spent
She got big bones and small bones buckets of dog bones and lugged ‘em all home
And when she got there she had two thousand pounds of bones
And so her poor dog had a ton
Poor dog had a ton
Poor dog had a ton
When she got there she had two thousand pounds of bones and so her poor dog had a ton
Well about a year and a half later
Old Mother Hubbard went to the cupboard to get her poor dog a bone
When she got there the cupboard was bare and so her poor dog had none
